USO Investiture Service :
A formal ceremony in which the office-bearers of United Students Organization are
duly sworn.
Lingua Fiesta : A three-day intra-m school festival of creative writing, elocution,
debate and quiz competitions in English, Bengali and Hindi.
Rabindra Jayanti Celebrations : A programme of RabindraSangeet, drama and valedictory speeches in tribute to
great Indian Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Arbour Day : A day for planting tree saplings in recognition of need for concern for the environment.
Speech Day : The annual prize distribution day.
CBS Soccer : The annual Inter- House Football Tournament.
Aerial Conquest : Annual Inter-House Kite Flying Competition organized in 3rd week of September.
COSMA : The intra-school Computer, Science, Mathematics festival of computer presentations, science exhibitions,
and quiz contests.
Concord : The inter-school cultural festival. (The oldest Inter-School festival of Kolkata, instituted in 1983)
Carnival : The annual fete organized in the last week of November.
Panorama : The Annual Athletic Meet and P. T. Display (all Kolkata Campuses)
Christmas Cantata : A Christmas presentation of carols and a nativity play at the Thoburn Methodist Church.
Crescendo : The Annual School Concert (Main School).
Canvas : Art & Craft/ Photography display.
Founder’s Day : The Birth Anniversary of Bishop J.M. Thoburn on 7th March.(All CBS Campuses).
Dedication Service : A solemn worship service for the students about to appear for the ICSE and ISC Board Examinations.
